Regular microneedling uses miniscule needles to create micro-injuries in the skin. RF Microneedling FAQs

While both treatments improve cellular turnover, the effects of a chemical peel don’t produce the same long-lasting collagen and elastin regeneration that microneedling does. A chemical peel shows results immediately, but if you’re looking for longer term results that are less sensitizing to the skin, RF microneedling is a wonderful option to consider.

Each time the microneedles create a mini puncture in your skin, a blast of RF energy goes deep beneath the surface layer. When combined, these processes boost collagen and elastin production by activating your body’s natural healing response, leaving you with rejuvenated skin in the targeted area.

RF microneedling can be performed anywhere on the body, and common treatment areas include the face, neck, limbs, torso, and buttocks.

Most patients notice a slightly warm sensation and a slight pricking or scraping. While the treatments aren’t necessarily painful, some patients with sensory processing issues or sensitive skin may find it uncomfortable, so numbing cream is often used.

While this number varies on your desired results, we find that most patients do well with three to four initial sessions close together in timeframe, with spaced out maintenance sessions following the initial treatment series.

You may experience redness and swelling following your session. This typically goes away within a few days, and you’ll likely notice immediate improvement within a week. After their treatment series, most patients notice maximum results within a few months.
