TRULIGN

The Trulign™ Toric Intraocular Lens (IOL) implant is utilized to replace the natural lens of the eye following cataract surgery. During cataract surgery, the natural lens of the eye is removed in order to rid the eye from a clouded vision. Once the clouded material is broken up and removed, an IOL replacement is positioned in the eye, creating clearer sight post-surgery.

How Does Trulign™ Work?
The Trulign™ Intraocular Lens is a premium lens which provides a broad range of vision. Trulign™ is one of the latest advancements in the IOL field; instead of using a standard monofocal IOL which delivers improved vision at only one distance, the Trulign™ offers clear vision at multiple distances. After cataract surgery, not only will you be able to see clearly at a distance, but you will also be able to read up close and see at an intermediate field view.

How Long is the Procedure and When Should I Expect to See Results?
The results from Trulign™ are designed to be permanent. As an outpatient procedure, the surgery lasts approximately 15-20 minutes. Vision improvement is experienced almost immediately by all patients where functional activities such as driving, computer use, sports activities, reading, and watching television are all enhanced with clearer vision.

Trulign™ gives you greater freedom from glasses, minimizes halos and glare, provides a safer sight during night time driving, and gives you overall sharper vision with near and far activities. The Trulign™ lens is also beneficial for patients with or without presbyopia who desire clearer vision with their astigmatism. The physicians at Whitson Vision can help you determine if the Trulign™ Intraocular Lens is the right option for you.
